Yogi Rashtriya Sena to expand across India with Gurukul education and women’s safety

11/09/2026

Swami Rohtas Nath Yogi, chief of the Gorakhnath Temple at Gokulnagar in Tripura’s Sepahijala district, has announced plans to extend the recently registered Yogi Rashtriya Sena across India, prioritising Gurukul-based education, physical training, self-defence, cultural values, and women’s safety.

Speaking about the organisation, Swami Rohtas Nath Yogi stated it was formally registered in Delhi on August 24, 2026, and would commence structured operations nationwide. He outlined the aim to establish a comprehensive organisational network spanning from Maharashtra to Kashmir, Kanyakumari to Gujarat, and Gujarat to Tripura.

A primary objective of the Yogi Rashtriya Sena is the revival and expansion of the Gurukul system of education. Swami Rohtas Nath Yogi noted that such institutions are already operating in Tripura, and similar establishments would be introduced in every district and state.

The proposed Gurukul model seeks to integrate modern education with traditional learning while emphasising ‘sanskar’ (values), discipline, and respect for parents, teachers, and guests. “Along with education, children will also receive training in physical fitness and self-defence,” he added. Traditional activities such as archery and other forms of physical training may also be incorporated.

The organisation plans to promote the study of the Vedas and other traditional subjects, providing instruction in Sanskrit, Hindi, English, Bengali, and other Indian languages, with Sanskrit playing a central role.

Swami Rohtas Nath Yogi also identified women’s safety and empowerment as a key priority, stating that women should be able to travel freely and feel secure throughout the country.

The Yogi Rashtriya Sena intends to foster greater awareness of discipline, physical fitness, mutual respect, and social responsibility while working for the welfare of society and the nation.

Invoking the teachings of Lord Ram and the Ramayana, Swami Rohtas Nath Yogi expressed the organisation’s belief in the overarching principle of the victory of ‘Dharma’ over ‘Adharma’. He emphasised the goal of contributing towards building disciplined, responsible, and culturally aware younger generations.

“Our objective is to promote these values throughout Bharatvarsha and work in an organised and disciplined manner for the welfare of society and the nation,” he said.
